SUNITA K. SREEDHARAN

Sunita obtained her LL.B. (awarded Gold Medal) from The School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology, and recently followed it with an LL.M. from The George Washington University Law School, Washington DC, USA (awarded Thomas Buergenthal Scholarship). Prior to her study of law, she obtained her M.Sc. in Cytogenetics, an MBA and a Diploma in Computer Science. Sunita has had the distinction of being nominated for the “IP Woman of the Year 2008” Award by the organizers of IP Summit held in Brussels on December 4, 2008. She has been recently inducted in the rosters of the International Who’s Who of Professionals.
An advocate and a patent agent, Sunita started her legal career at the High Court of Kerala at Ernakulam attached to the Law Offices of Kuruvathazha & Kuruvathazha handling a variety of matters chiefly, writ petitions and appeals. Thereafter she relocated to Delhi and worked at Anand and Anand, from where she resigned as a Partner heading Life Sciences & Geographical Indications (GI) group. Sunita is a member of LES, APAA, AIPPI and INTA, and has been empanelled as legal counsel for the Protection of Plant Variety and Farmers’ Rights (PPV & FR) Authority, Ministry of Agriculture. Presently she is the legal advisor on the Central Technology Management Institute, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). She has been involved in the drafting of various parliamentary bills requiring protection of various intellectual properties including the access and benefit sharing of traditional knowledge.
A prolific author, Sunita has authored a book titled “Introduction to Intellectual Asset Management” published by CCH India a division of Wolters Kluwer. Her articles, analysis and commentaries have been published in MIP, Business Briefing – Pharmatech and IAM among others. She is also a frequent speaker at various fora, including WIPO and LESI seminars.

BIMLA SUNTHA

Bimla, a Law Graduate, has been associated with SKS Law Associates since its inception. Bimla is the Legal Administrator at SKS Law Associates and handles administrative matters relating to various office Actions, filings and deadline management. She has extensive experience in maintaining the filing system, compilation of reports, filing status and statements as well as taking care of correspondences with our National and International clients as well as legal associates.

SAROJH NAGARAJ

Sarojh is a lawyer and has been practicing Law for over 3 years. She earned her degree from University of Delhi. She is a skilled researcher in legal matters, and has briefed senior lawyers on criminal, service and intellectual property matters and has herself appeared in a number of IPR matters before the Court. Sarojh is experienced in drafting of legal briefs as well as drafting and vetting of license and other agreements. Besides this, Sarojh handles contentious and non-contentious matters pertaining to Trademarks, Industrial Designs and Copyright, Geographical Indications and Biodiversity.

Dr. BHARTI JAIN

Bharti is a Lawyer and a registered Patent Agent. She is a vetinerary doctor by training and has earned her Masters in Veterinary Biochemistry from Rajasthan Agricultural University. Thereafter she earned her Law degree from MGS University.
She was selected for training in Intellectual Property Rights under the Women Scientist Scholarship Programme of TIFAC, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. She possesses ample experience in the area of Intellectual Property Rights, including Prior Art searches on various databases, Patentability Searches, Freedom to Operate Search, Landscape Analysis and Patent Mapping.
An experienced Patent Agent dealing in filing and prosecution of life-sciences related patents, Bharti is also experienced in filing and prosecution of trademarks, copyrights and industrial designs.
Previously, she worked with Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi as Senior Research Fellow. There she dealt with life science related patents, issues relating to data protection and drug affordability in India.

VARSHA YADAV

Varsha is a lawyer and a registered Patent Agent. She has about 5 years of experience. She earned her LL.B degree after completing BSc from Delhi University. She did her Masters in Law in Intellectual Property Rights from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (Delhi). A licensed patent agent, she also has a PG diploma in Corporate Law. In her previous appointment she trained the candidates appearing for Patent Agent examination. While with CPA Global Support Services India Pvt. Ltd., her job profile required her to be updated on the Intellectual Property Law in various jurisdictions and to conduct webinar presentations for various clients as well as conduct legal research on different IPR issues. She has also imparted training on PCT and EP.

MANDEEP KUMAR MANDOTRA

Mandeep is a Patent Engineer with M.Sc in Physics and M.Tech in Microelectronics from The Punjab University, Chandigarh. He is adept at conducting prior art searches and has been handling patent drafting in his area of specialization.

DAISY SHARMA

Daisy Sharma is an Associate Trainee with a background in Pharmaceutical Sciences. She has been honored under the Women Scientist Scheme of Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC). After completing B.Pharma from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, Daisy earned her M.Pharma from MTU, Uttar Pradesh. She handles drafting and prosecution of patent applications. Daisy also assists in litigation matters pertaining to Life Sciences and the Pharma sector.

GEETA SINGH

Geeta Singh is a Graduate in Arts from University of Delhi. Geeta was earlier working at Anand and Anand as a Paralegal. With over 10 years experience in IPR, she handles correspondence and matters pertaining to legal cases with our National and International clients. She is skilled in conducting various trademark searches on variety of database in order to ascertain availability of the trademarks, preparing and filing forms independently relating to trademark and copyright registration and preparing response to the examination reports issued by various Intellectual Property Offices.

DEEPTI KHURANA

Deepti is a Commerce Graduate from the University of Delhi. Having completed her Articleship under a Chartered Accountant firm, she is presently working towards her earning accreditation as a Chartered Accountant. Deepti handles the accounts portfolio of SKS Law Associates.
